Fire FCMAT

Join our campaign to unite lower income and high percentage student of color districts to Fire FCMAT and establish new guidelines for ending the policy of school closures, fully funding our full service community schools, and investing in new stability and student outcomes for our neighborhoods.

The pattern of tying student performance to test scores, underfunding schools, forcing districts into predatory loans that push for school closures and ignoring socio – economic conditions in school communities must end.

We demand  stable long term funding solutions to finally fix California’s failure to invest in Black and Brown, lower income students and communities.

Last year (2022) California had an unprecedented $97.5 billion budget surplus, yet school districts like Oakland, Vallejo, Inglewood, and South Monterey County remained in $60 million worth of debt due to state takeovers forcing school closures by FCMAT – Governor Newsom’s Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team.

Join our campaign to unite lower income and high percentage students of color districts to Fire FCMAT and establish new guidelines for ending the policy of school closures, fully funding our full service community schools, and investing in new stability and student outcomes for our neighborhoods.
